News: With Hip's demise, Kuju is looking for a new publisher for their zombiefest.

Kuju Entertainment has announced that they have teamed up Ernst & Young Inc., the company handling Hip Games' bankruptcy, to find a new publisher for City of the Dead. This is after Hip Interactive Europe announced that they still planned to publish the game in throughout Europe. It's unknown where that deal stands.

"There have already been several interested parties in the game, the team and the technology and we are hopeful that some elements of the project will continue beyond the unfortunate demise of Hip Interactive Inc." said Jonathan Newth, Managing Director of Kuju Entertainment.

The game is set to come out for the PS2, PC and Xbox and the press release included the strangely worded phrase "the game previously known as 'George A Romero Presents City of the Dead'". So while it may undergo a name change, it still looks very likely that City of the Dead will make it's Spring 2006 release date.
