News: Doom 3 expansion for the Xbox and Quake IV multiplayer will be on tap at the big show.
This weekend Activision and id Software will unveil two big new titles at QuakeCon 2005. The tenth annual fragfest will play host to the first unveiling of Quake IV multiplayer for the PC and Xbox 360 and Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil for the Xbox.
Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil is in development at Nerve Software for a release sometime later this year. It will be a standalone expansion that won't require players to own the original Doom 3 to try out the "all-new levels, beasts and powerful weapons, including the "Grabber," the "Artifact," and the return of the double barreled Shotgun." Con goers will also be given the first chance to play the expansion after it's unveiling.
Not to be outdone, Quake IV multiplayer will also be playable by the public.
