State of Emergency 2

News: State of Emergency 2 finds a new home.

State of Emergency 2 has had a long and troubled life. bam! Entertainment first held the publishing rights with a planned 2004 release. After bam! went bust, developer VIS continued on in hopes of landing a new publisher. But as fate would have it, VIS went bankrupt as well and the game has been in limbo for a while.

So in steps Playlogic and DC Studios. They have purchased the development and publishing rights to State of Emergency 2 and will release the PS2 edition late this year. The fate of the Xbox version is still hanging in that limbo somewhere.

State of Emergency 2 ratchets up the mayhem of the first game with a new reputation system, gang control, an interrogation system, helicopters, speedboats, tanks and APCs, new team members and guns, lots of guns.

All I know is if something happens to DC Studios or Playlogic I can think we can safely start to talk about the State of Emergency curse.
