News: A team of modders is working on bringing the multiplayer maps and weaponry to Half-Life 2.
It's hard to argue with the people that crown the N64 title GoldenEye as the greatest FPS ever. It did so many things right and is still the most fun four people can have huddled around a console.
So the "This is totally cool" file got a little bigger today when I was pointed towards GoldenEye Source today by the way of Joystiq.
The team at GoldenEye Source (which is looking for new members) are attempting to port all of the multiplayer maps and weapons that made GoldenEye great to the Source engine as a Half-Life 2 mod.
With the Walther PP7, the Golden Gun and the great and glorious Temple all finished, the team is well on their way to making it work.
Screenshots are available for those that want a closer look, but a release date is still up in the air at this point. But all I can really close with is a wish of good luck to all involved.
But James Bond doesn't need luck does he?
