News: Just what is going on with Madden PSP?
Tales of bugs and other bad things have plagued forums across the Internet when it comes to EA's portable Madden NFL 06.
Evil Avatar poster mille.mots attempted to get to the bottom of it and compiled quite the overview.
This thread delves into the reported instances of PSP systems shutting down after the Franchise mode is opened. Our own Adam Wolcott has confirmed this bug in his copy of Madden 06 PSP as well (expect a review shortly). The Evil Avatar thread also looks at the roster update feature that EA themselves are telling players not to use.
This followup thread looks at the Internet connection bug and EA's response to all of this. Which is basically, it works for everybody but you. Reports are also stating that EA customer service is telling people that online play is still in a "test phase". Test phase? Didn't the game ship a week ago?
Add it all up, and well, maybe that NFL exclusive license was a bad idea for PSP owners. We'll have more as it develops.
