News: First details and a few new screens.
Rockstar updated the Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories website over the weekend and it's not chock full of information on something GTA fans have been waiting a long time for: multiplayer modes.
Yes, GTA Liberty City Stories will have seven different multiplayer modes and Rockstar has revealed the dirt on three of them.
However, the bad news is that these modes will not use the PSP's Internet connection for online play. It's Ad-Hoc only, so you have to be in the room with all of your fellow gang members.
Each mode will be allow for up to six people to join in the fight and the three known modes are:
Liberty City Survivor - Your standard Deathmatch. Play to a certain number or kills or play the clock. The choice is yours.
Protection Racket - The match is played in two rounds with each gang being assigned as Attackers or Defenders. The Defenders are given four limos and the Attackers must destroy them. After the limos have been destroyed, the game time is displayed on the screen. In the second round the roles reserve and the Defenders become the Attackers and they must destroy the other team's limos. Whoever has the quicker limo destruction time wins.
Get Stretch - Steal the opposing gangs car and bring it back to your hideout. This mode has both Score Limit and Time Limit options.
So there you have it. And how about eight new screens? Cuz we got 'em.
