News: The high speed PSP title will be coming to America in the Spring.

Sony announced today that Pursuit Force, a police chase title released in October in Europe, will be coming to North America in the spring. The PSP title was developed by BigBig Studios and it won a slew of E3 awards back in May.

Pursuit Force puts players in the shoes of a rookie police officer that will take them through 30 levels of high-speed pursuits, on-foot action, and aerial attacks.

These thirty missions place players in direct competition with the five gangs of Capital City: "The Killer 66 bring their brutal brand of Far-Eastern violence to the streets, while the Capellis are steeped in the Mafia underworld. The Convicts, fresh from a prison break, disregard law and life as they attempt to gain freedom at any cost. The Warlords wreak havoc on the city in their quest for power and to push their political agendas. The Vixens, a group of ex-Hollywood stunt girls, have chosen a life of crime to pay for their lavish lifestyles."

Pursuit Force stood out from the pack at E3 for its car hopping gimmick. At various points throughout the game, players will be able to jump from vehicle to vehicle while the freeway flies by underneath at speeds of 150 MPH. Fifty different vehicles will be able to be commandeered during the pursuit.

We'll chase down more on Pursuit Force soon.
