News: The Darkwatch developers are pulling up stakes for the greener pastures of VU Games.
After a lot of publisher jumping, High Moon Studios was finally able to release their vampire western Darkwatch last year to great critical acclaim.
Also last year, VU Games went on a buying spree, picking up Swordfish Studios and Radical Entertainment. Now in the new year, they're at it again as they've added High Moon Studios (and its 100 employees) to the VU empire.
And with that, VU Games announced that High Moon is already hard at work on a major licensed property.
"VU Games and High Moon are already collaborating on a soon-to-be-announced project based on a major entertainment license," said Bruce Hack, CEO of VU Games. "Our acquisition of the studio is another major step forward in building the company's position as a leader in next generation console games."
In talking about the deal High Moon also revealed that they are hard at work on several projects and that all of them are coming to next-gen systems.
So what is this mystery licensed project? What about the other projects? I guess we'll find out in time.
I'm crossing my fingers for Darkwatch 2...
