After announcing Tetris DS yesterday Nintendo set off of a wave of happiness in DS owners. Late last night they revealed the first two images of their work in progress and it raises lots of new questions.
First, you can see that these screens show off the Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros 3. level themes. But you can also see an Item Box in multiplayer play (populated with a Ghost) and the Next Piece box has expanded to show the Next Six Pieces. In returning news, the "Hold Piece" from The New Tetris will also make an appearance in Tetris DS.
So have at it, let the scrutiny begin.
