News: A few console confirmations.

After Mortal Kombat: Armageddon was revealed in Game Informer a week ago a couple of other magazines have decided to get in on the act.

The February issue of Play has confirmed that the game based on X3 will be out in May (on the PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube and PC) and features Wolverine, Iceman and Nightcrawler as playable characters. The game is said to be a prequel to the movie (an X2.5 if you will) and will explain why Nightcrawler won't appear in X3.

Not to be outdone, the February issue of EGM reveals that Virtua Fighter 5 is coming to the PS3, with the followup line "and it might be exclusive."

So there you have it. Check out both mags for more details and keep checking back at Gaming Target for your daily news.
