News: The apocalypse is now... games based on Left Behind are almost here.

The Left Behind series of books is branching out into games this Spring with a Real Time Strategy title called Left Behind: Eternal Forces. You can stop laughing now. If it didn't have "Left Behind" in the title an apocalyptic RTS between Angels and Demons would be hugely anticipated.

The game is being developed by the newly created Left Behind Games and it actually looks like it could be a winner. So RTS fans would do well to check out just what is in store for the coming Rapture:

  • Conduct physical & spiritual warfare: using the power of prayer to strengthen troops in combat and wield modern military weaponry throughout the game world.

  • Recover ancient scriptures and witness spectacular Angelic and Demonic activity as a direct consequence of your choices.

  • Command your forces through battles across a breathtaking, authentic depiction of New York City.

  • Control more than 30 units types - from Prayer Warrior and Hellraiser to Spies, Special Forces and Battle Tanks!

  • Enjoy a robust single player experience across dozens of New York City maps in Story Mode - fighting in China Town, SoHo, Uptown and more!

  • Play multi-player games as Tribulation Forces or Global Community Peacekeepers with up to eight players via LAN or over the internet!

We even have a few screnshots. Check out number 16...
