Kao the Kangaroo Round 2

Written by John Scalzo  on February 10, 2006

News: Here we go again.

Atari has released their financial numbers for their third quarter (October 1 - December 31) and it's a familiar refrain.

For those last three months of 2005 Atari had a net loss of $4.8 million, compared to net income of $19.6 million in 2004. As if this weren't bad enough, Atari has been told by HSBC Business Credit that they are in default on some of their loans and that HSBC will not offer them any more credit.

Once again, the blame was placed on a weak holiday season and the difficulties of the transition to next-generation consoles.

But none of that has stopped Atari from announcing a pretty full slate for 2006.

In the next two months we will see:
Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge (PC)
Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai (PSP)
Driver: Parallel Lines (PS2 and Xbox)
Dungeons & Dragons Online (PC)
Kao the Kangaroo Round 2 (PS2, Xbox, GC and PC)
Kao Challengers (PSP)
Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure (PS2, Xbox and PC)
Tycoon City: New York (PC)

And the rest of 2006 will feature:
Alone in the Dark: Near Death Investigation (Xbox 360 and PC)
Battlezone (PSP)
Neverwinter Nights 2 (PC)
Stuntman 2 (Xbox 360)
Test Drive Unlimited (Xbox 360 and PC)
TimeShift (Xbox 360 and PC)

Let's hope Atari's 2006 is better that their 2005.
