News: it.will.be.out.by.the.end.of.the.month

Namco has announced that kill.switch, its upcoming military shooter, has been completed and will be ready for its Oct. 28 release on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

Уkill.switch promises to raise the bar in the third-person action military genre,Ф said Matt Sentell, senior producer at Namco Hometek, the company's U.S. consumer division. УThe unique gameplay mechanics, clever storyline and real-world environments make kill.switch a must-have title for fans of military shooters.Ф

kill.switch promises to differentiate itself from the myriad of military shooters currently out there with its use of cover tactics -- practically anything can be use to shield yourself from enemy fire. The game will include more than 15 missions in all. It's being developed by Namco's U.S.-based studio, rather than in Japan -- which makes sense, as military shooters are not nearly as popular on the other side of the Pacific.
