News: New multiplayer features on Xbox 360 and PC ho!
Activision has announced that Call of Duty 2 for the Xbox 360 has received a huge update that should fix many of the nagging problems many games had with the multiplayer game.
The update includes "improved multiplayer performance" (i.e. no more lag!), a matchmaking system that allows players to reserve spots for friends a post-game option for rematching and "configurable host options". Anyone that logs into Xbox Live while playing Call of Duty 2 will receive the update.
Not to be overshadowed, the PC edition will also be getting an update in the near future that will add PunkBuster anti-cheat technology and two new multiplayer maps: Rhine and Harbor, a favorite from the original Call of Duty.
