News: Baby steps, then.

After a few months of neglect, Microsoft finally has updated their oft-derided Backwards Compatibility list. But don't get too excited, while indeed there are new Xbox games now playable on the Xbox 360, there isn't a lot - a mere three new titles.

Thankfully these are three relatively current and popular titles; the Criterion blast-a-thon Black, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and Winning Eleven 9. So it's not all bad.

In addition many already-compatible games received minor updates, namely Forza Motorsport, Fable, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Ninja Gaiden. In general all of these updates increase the performance with the 360 software emulator. Forza, for instance, is much smoother with this new update.
