Guitar Hero plays it again @ Gaming Target

The biggest underdog story of 2005 was RedOctane's Guitar Hero, proof positive that every gamer wants to be a rock god. And what does every good rock god do? They perform an encore, that's what. And that's exactly what RedOctane is planning. Guitar Hero II is scheduled to ship this November for the PS2.

Once again developed by Harmonix, Guitar Hero II allows players to play lead guitar, bass or rhythm in both one-player and two-player co-op. Guitar Hero II. Like last time, two-player competitive modes will also be included.

More than 55 songs will appear in the sequel covering such genres as classic rock, hair metal, heavy metal, modern rock, and alternative.

Guitar Hero II will be playable for the first time at this year's E3.
