News: Sega is bringing the lovable monkeys-in-balls to the Revolution.
Sega continues rolling on their Road To E3 with the announcement that Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is coming to the Revolution.
Banana Blitz will see AiAi and the rest of the monkeys taking full advantage of the Revolution controller. Sega has said that by flicking the controller up the monkeys will be able to jump for the first time.
"The Nintendo Revolution presents a totally unique avenue for our developers to explore the art of game design," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz will present a mind-boggling array of gameplay innovations that will excite and challenge gamers while pushing the boundaries of imagination forward."
Sega has also said the Party Games mode will return with new mini-games designed with the Revolution controller in mind. Whack-a-Mole and Ring Toss were the first two mentioned and I assume Whack-a-Mole will involve swinging the Revmote like a hammer. That would be sweet.
But obviously, we'll find out more at E3 and we'll find out the next Sega surprise at midnight tonight.
