News: The Nic Cage movie-based game is now riding to February.
Ghost Rider was one of the last titles dropped by Majesco during their great purge late last year. Today, 2K Games revealed that they've rescued the demonically possessed biker from the depths of development hell and will publish the game alongside the movie in February 2007.
"Ghost Rider is one of Marvel Comics' most successful comic book franchises and we're thrilled to bring this beloved series to a broader audience," said Christoph Hartmann, Managing Director of 2K Games. "The video game will build upon the popular elements from the Ghost Rider franchise and intertwine its thrilling action and original, compelling content into a gaming experience fans will love."
Still being developed by Climax, 2K did not elaborate which systems Ghost Rider would be coming to. But when the property was in Majesco's hands it was scheduled for a PS2, Xbox and PSP release. I find no reason to think that's changed.
We'll have more on Ghost Rider's flaming skull soon.
