News: I may be bad... but I feel goooooood.
Codemasters announced this morning they have signed a deal with Triumph Studios to create Overlord for the Xbox 360 and PC.
Overlord offers a strange takes on the fantasy genre, which Codemasters describes like this:
"Controlling a mysterious figure that has inherited the legacy of the evil, long-dead Overlord, the player emerges, near death, from the ruins of the old Overlord's Dark Tower. Only the player's actions will determine if they will rise to become the new all-powerful Overlord; it's all down to how much of a bad ass they want to be in order to succeedЕ evil or really evil! Played out with plenty of black humour and dark irony, the game will immerse players in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios and characters."
But to be evil, players will have to order around their army of Minions (yes, they're called Minions), little imp-like creatures that will "fetch, fight and die for you".
No other details were revealed, but we'll have more on Overlord between now and its Summer 2007 release date.
