News: Xbox 360 owners are going to have a very busy E3.
Microsoft has announced that as soon as the clock ticks over to Monday May 8, they will be flooding the Xbox Live Marketplace with 60 pieces of E3 content. This content will coincide with an free week of Xbox Live that will last until 11:59 PM on Sunday May 14.
This content dump will be highlighted by the first high definition trailer of Gears of War and a playable demo of Lost Planet.
Other demos and trailers will be released during the week as well. They include:
Crackdown (Microsoft Game Studios)
Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 (Tecmo)
Moto GP '06 (THQ)
Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega)
Test Drive: Unlimited (Atari)
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II (EA Los Angeles)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Ubisoft)
Viva Piёata (Microsoft Game Studios)
Microsoft didn't say which games would get demos and which would get trailers.
Other E3 week festivities include Play and Win contests with the latest Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade titles, new (and exclusive) high-definition movie trailers, limited edition E3 Gamerpics and Themes and a chance to see developers preparing for E3. Finally, Jenny McCarthy, Method Man and Dave Navarro will be taking part in Microsoft's Game With Fame program.
The week will be rounded out with two new releases: new multiplayer maps for Call of Duty 2 and Uno on the Xbox Live Arcade.
