Another of Acclaim's properties was rescued from bankruptcy court today as THQ snapped up the upcoming racer Juiced for the PS2 and Xbox. Originally scheduled for a late September release, Juiced has already been reviewed by many major game magazines including GamePro (4/5), Electronic Gaming Monthly (7/10, 7/10, 6.5/10), Game Informer (8/10) and PSM (5.75/10). After a contract approval and other legal steps, THQ plans to bring Juiced to stores during the Summer of 2005.
"We are very excited to have secured the rights to this strategic, highly sought after intellectual property," said Jack Sorensen, executive vice president of worldwide studios, THQ. "The team is off to a great start and now has the time to build `Juiced' into one of the premier brands in street racing."
