News: Nibris helps us dig deeper into Sadness.
Nibris has dropped in with another update on their "black and white horror game" Sadness. They haven't released any in-game screens yet (and they say they have no plans to), but now we've learned a little more.
First, Nibris has announced they have joined forces with several other companies in developing Sadness. Frontline Studios will help with the programming, while Digital Amigos will help with the graphics.
And Nibris will probably need all the help they can get as the game's new release date has been listed as "no earlier than Q4 2007". They've also said that any publisher rumors we've heard are just that, rumors.
УSadness is a novelty on the video games market. Both the story and the presentation of the game is going to be a surprise for a player. You must forgive us the fact that we present so scarce information about Sadness, but we hope that once you play it you will understand our circumspection. We do not want to spoil the funФ, said Adam Artur Antolski, one of the scriptwriters.
However, we do know that Sadness will not feature an in-game menu and that saving "will be invisible to the player."
Finally, Nibris has revealed two of the monsters that will take part in the gothic horror of Sadness. These monsters include werewolves and the Likho, "an embodiment of evil fate and misfortune in Slavic mythology, a creature with one eye, usually depicted as an old person." You can see screenshots of both here.
