News: GameSpot has the dirt.

After the big announcement concerning the "new E3", GameSpot chatted with ESA President Doug Lowenstein and he has revealed more changes for the (not so) big (anymore) show.
First and foremost, E3 will now take place in July, to give publishers more time to polish their E3 demos. The exact dates in July have yet to be decided.
Second, Lowenstein confirmed that the event will be moving out of the Los Angeles Convention Center and into the conference rooms of several area hotels. This will of course shrink the number of attendees from last year's record of over 60,000 people. Lowenstein estimates the "new E3" should have around 5,000 attendees.
Finally, E3 will have a new name to go along with its new look next year. From now on, gamers everywhere will want to attend the "E3 Media Festival".
We'll have more on the new E3 soon.
