News: The DS and PSP head to the starting line.

Ubisoft has announced they are bringing Gameloft's mobile hit Asphalt: Urban GT 2 to the DS and PSP. The two games are being developed by Virtuos and Game Source with the DS version scheduled for November and the PSP coming next March.

According to Ubisoft, Asphalt: Urban GT 2 will feature "six game modes, numerous tuning possibilities, 30 tracks and 36 licensed cars and motorcycles". They will also include music by Moby and an appearance (along with some music) by the Pussycat Dolls.

"Ubisoft is excited to introduce the follow up to one of the best selling racing games on the Nintendo DS," said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. "Asphalt Urban GT 2 is the most feature-rich racing game available for handhelds and will provide gamers with an exhilarating street racing experience."

We'll have more soon.
