News: The DS shooter gets a sequel.

Shin'en, the makers of such portable shooters as Iridion, Iridion II and last year's Nanostray, have announced they are working on Nanostray 2 for the DS.

Nanostray 2 doesn't have a publisher or a release date yet, but Shin'en promises it will include "innovative touch screen features as well as exciting WiFi functions over the internet". Let's hope the innovative touch screen features are a little more user-friendly than the first Nanostray.

Shin'en also said that Nanostray 2 will also introduce "many new features and elements which have never been used in its genre".

УShin'en again raises the bar for high quality games with never-seen-before graphics, awesome audio and innovative gameplay on the Nintendo DSФ, said Manfred Linzner, Project Manager at Shin'en.

Shin'en plans to release more info on Nanostray 2, including screenshots, at the official site, Nanostray2.com
