News: PS3 launch news, Ninja Gaiden returns and Square-Enix loves the DS.

It's time once again for American gamers to get on their hands and knees and beg that some of the good news flowing out of the Tokyo Game Show comes to America. Here's a quick rundown of what's shimmying down the grapevine.

Square-Enix loves the DS so much that spin-off games in two of their major RPG franchises will be gracing the handheld soon. Heroes of Mana will transport the series into the RTS genre with some seriously eye-popping colors along for the ride. There are also rumors that S-E will bring Secret of Mana 2 (originally released on the SNES and never in America) to the DS as well.

But when people think of Square-Enix they think of Final Fantasy. And S-E has no plans to disappoint DS owners as Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings is coming out on Japanese DSes soon.

While the Xbox 360 is still struggling in Japan, you can't fault Microsoft for trying. To that end, they've recruited SNK to bring Metal Slug to the Xbox Live Arcade.

Finally, we come to the big beast, the PS3. And no development team is more concerned with having a beastly system to work on than Team Ninja. But given their Xbox 360 loyalty, it's surprising to hear they've announced Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3. Sigma will be an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden Black and will add PS3-exclusive features, including the chance to play as Rachael.

As always with the Tokyo Game Show, these titles have been announced for Japan only. But I'd be very surprised if Ninja Gaiden Sigma doesn't make it to America.
