News: But he's got something else cooking, and he wants to talk about it.
God of War creator David Jaffe's blog has always been a source of some good stuff. Whether it was game information (the announcement of his PSP game HL was made there) or good old fashioned rants (too numerous to count), it was there.
So now Jaffe has used his blog to announce that the still unoffically announced HL has gone on hiatus. From the man himself:
"[HL] is- for the moment- on the shelf.
The core reason is that it was very ambitious and so was/is WarHawk. The same developer is making both games (with some key members shared between both games) so Scott (head of Incog) and I said: fuck it. We'll do HL later...maybe.
But for now, let's make something else."
That something else turns out to be an unannounced PS3 game that will share similarities with Twisted Metal and Bomberman while being, in Jaffe's words, "shorter and less expensive". But lest you think it's a budget game, Jaffe also said the game is currently running in 1080p.
The game, which again is unannounced, is said to have a release date sometime between November and January.
We'll keep you posted.
