News: And it's got a new title too.
SouthPeak Interactive has revealed a new release date for their upcoming monster brawler Monster Madness. Previously scheduled for an "early 07" release date, Monster Madness: Battle For Suburbia (its official title) is now coming next spring to the Xbox 360 and PC.
"Bringing Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia to Xbox 360 and Windows is exciting to us -- not only as a development team, but also as gamers," said Jeremy Stieglitz, President of Artificial Studios. "We wanted to focus on making a game that would be fun for players to just pick up and play, while also delivering a new twist on classic gameplay."
"We are delighted to be working so closely with Artificial Studios to develop the Monster Madness brand, and are excited that Jeremy Stieglitz's team is such an inspirational and creative force," said Katie Morgan, Executive Vice President of SouthPeak Interactive. "With so many sequels currently on the market, we think consumers will find Monster Madness to be a refreshing new addition to the third-person shooter and action genre when it makes its way to anxiously awaiting gamers next spring."
Monster Madness will include a four player co-op mode and a 16-player online battle mode. These modes will take players across several environments, including Suburban Nightmare, Cemetery Scary and The Shopping Maul, as they battle over fifty different monsters.
