Namco Bandai has announced they are bringing Inuyasha to the DS for the first with the RPG Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel. The game is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2007.

УWe are very excited to have an opportunity to add something all our own to the already amazing world of Inuyasha,Ф said Naruo Uchida, Namco Bandai Games America Inc.'s Senior Vice President. УHaving an established property to work on, while adding our own special creative vision, is truly a wonderful experience.Ф

Secret of the Divine Jewel will feature familiar Inuyasha characters including Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Shippo. It will also include an "intuitive command-based control scheme" and a battle system known as the Cover Fellow System.
