Disaster Report

Written by John Scalzo  on December 12, 2006

News: Somebody call the Weather Channel!

Disaster Report garnered quite the following for its different take on the "Survival Horror" genre. Forcing players to survive a natural disaster was quite different than pulling off headshots on zombies. A sequel was released in Japan earlier this year and now Agetec is bringing it to America this February.

Retitled Raw Danger, the game will force players to think on their feet as they attempt to survive a flooded city surrounded by mountains, ocean, and rivers. I'm sure it'll help if you're Christian Slater or Morgan Freeman.

УWhile no natural disaster is a game, Raw Danger does explore the more fantastic elements of a major event,Ф said Mark Johnson, Vice President of Production and Marketing at Agetec, Inc. УThe experience of trying to survive through a natural disaster can be incredibly engrossing.Ф

Players will have to survive the flood conditions by trying to stay dry while searching for the best route to safety by monitoring emergency broadcasts and meeting other survivors.

We'll have more on Raw Danger soon.
