News: Activision reveals some new games in their quarterly conference call.
Besides announcing they had their biggest revenue-generating quarter ever, Activision CEO Mike Griffith revealed two new games in the company's quarterly conference call.
First, in a move that should surprise no one at this point, it was announced that Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam would be coming to the PS2 in the Spring. Sony has constantly talked about the PS2 as a "ten year platform" and they should really thank Nintendo as Wii to PS2 development will likely make that philosophy a reality.
Speaking of Nintendo, Griffith also confirmed that Guitar Hero would be coming to the Wii in the very near future: "In fiscal 2008 [March 2007-march 2008], we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero."
You'll note that speech also leaves the door open for a DS Guitar Hero game, but how that would be possible, I have no idea.
We'll have more on both games soon.
