News: The popular World War II series jumps to the Wii.
Gearbox Software has long admired the oppurtunities the Wii would provide for game developers and according to the May 2007 issue of Nintendo Power, they'll finally get their shot.
Nintendo Power has revealed that Gearbox is developing Brothers in Arms: Double Time for the Wii. No release date has been revealed, but it will likely ship sometime this year.
As its name implies, Double Time will be a Wiimake of the first two BiA games. Gearbox president Randy Pitchford even revealed a few Wii-specific details about the compilation:
"In the game, you give commands to your squad through hand signals. In other version this amounts to just pressing a button. But in the Wii version of BiA, imagine actually using hand signals! From throwing grenades to looking down sights, I love that the Wii controller allows us to create a much more interesting simulation."
Pitchford also promised upgraded visuals and mentioned that multiplayer co-op is a possibility.
We'll have more on Brothers in Arms: Double Time soon.
