News: The King of All Cosmos returns to watch over his subjects. And the peasants rejoiced!

The latest issue of Famitsu confirms what we've all suspected for a while as Beautiful Katamari Damacy is coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in the near future.

Beautiful Katamari Damacy will retain the same two-stick control of the previous Katamari games and the Prince will occupy the same stylized world.

But Beautiful Katamari will be more than a next-gen rehash as the magazine promised we'll see bigger Katamaris, a new soundtrack and online play.

Those of you with long memories may remember that a Wii version of Beautiful Katamari was talked about in the original rumor as well. Director Jun Moriwaki says that a Wii version was considered, but never developed because the controller was too difficult to work with. He's interested in expanding Katamari beyond consoles and mentioned that a PC version or a DS version are a possibility in the future.

We'll have more on everything Katamari in the future.
