News: But everyone knows he's your FRIENDly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Just days after releasing Spider-Man 3 on nearly every platform, Activision has opened the teaser site for their next Spider-Man game, Spider-Man: Friend Or Foe.
The site, which can be found at SpiderMan-Friend-Or-Foe.com, doesn't give away much about the game except for a Fall 2007 release date. A short Flash movie featuring the Green Goblin and the game's tag line ("A new twist on the legend. A new take on the movies...") are also displayed prominently.
While we don't know what systems Friend Or Foe is slated for, Spider-Man 3 was released on every active platform, so it's reasonable to assume Friend Or Foe will as well. It's also reasonable to assume that the quick turnaround between 3 and Friend Or For (roughly five months) is likely due to Spider-Man 3's reported budget of $35 million. Activision no doubt hopes to recoup some of that investment by quickly creating a new game using the Spider-Man 3 engine.
But we'll keep you posted on any updates from Mr. Parker's neighborhood.
