News: You'll have to wait a bit longer for Will Wright's ambitious new game.
EA announced in their quarterly conference call that they no longer expect Spore, the next game from Sims creator Will Wright, to make it out in 2007. The "evolutionary life sim" was originally scheduled for a release date sometime in 2007 and even that was never set in stone.
Actually, EA even went so far as to say they expect the game to slip out of their 2008 fiscal year (which ends March 31, 2008) completely. So, those of you that really wanted to played Spore have to wait until April 1, 2008 at the earliest. The game's original release date was first scheduled for the Fall of 2006.
