News: Seёor Spielbergo, his non-union Mexican equivalent, must be working on the Xbox 360 and PS3 editions.
Reuters is reporting that EA's quarterly report has revealed that the man who directed Indiana Jones, Steven Spielberg, is working on a game for the Wii. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version were not mentioned in the Reuters report, so there is a real possibility the game will be exclusive to the Wii.
EA and the ET director announced in 2005 that they planned to collaborate on three new games (not based off of Spielberg's movies), but nothing else has ever been revealed about these projects. Until today's slip, no one was even sure which platforms Spielberg's project would appear on, despite EA's preference for multiplatform releases.
Before this, the head of EA LA (the team that is turning Spielberg's vision into a game) had often commented that the director would make an appearance every day to discuss ideas for the game with his team.
We also know Spielberg has experience with the Wii, as he was spotted at E3 2006 playing a round of Wii Sports with Shigeru Miyamoto.
While it doesn't seem like EA is ready to reveal any more (we still don't when it will be released or what it will be called), the project is moving forward and we'll have more soon.
