Bethesda Softworks has recruited Oscar-winning actor Liam Neeson to star in the upcoming Fallout 3. Neeson, best known as Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List, Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode I and Ducard in Batman Begins, will play the main character's father.
УThis role was written with Liam in mind, and provides the dramatic tone for the entire game,Ф said Todd Howard, Executive Producer of Fallout 3. УLiam is absolutely amazing to work with.Ф
While he will not be playing the main character, Bethesda has said Neeson's character will appear "prominently throughout the game."
УIt's been a pleasure bringing the father to life and working with the wonderfully talented people at Bethesda on Fallout 3,Ф said Neeson. УI hope the fans of the franchise and the game will be excited by the results.Ф
Unofficially, Fallout 3 is coming to the PC (and rumored to make an Xbox 360 appearance). Officially, Fallout 3's platform has not been determined yet because Bethesda is not ready to announce anything further about the game. They've even gone so far as to say "No other details on Fallout 3 have yet been revealed by Bethesda. More information will be coming in the next few months."
