Bungie has confirmed on their website that Halo 3 will be released in America on September 25, 2007. European gamers will get it a day later on September 26.
The previous two games in the series both shipped in November and it was widely belived Halo 3 would follow this trend. Gamers looking to finish the fight must be pleasantly surprised they won't have to wait quite as long as they thought.
This also opens up the rest of the fall gaming avalanche to other games that would have no doubt been buried by Bungie's beast closer to Christmas.
