News: We'll be seeing more from GSC Game World very soon.
GSC Game World, the development house behind the oft-delayed (but finally released to very good reviews) S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, has announced they have some big plans for the franchise at this year's E3. E3 2007 will run from July 11-13 and GSC said they plan to announce "several subsequent new products in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe."
Obviously, GSC was not more forthcoming on what these projects could be. An expandion pack? S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2? A version of the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for the consoles? A spinoff title in a different genre? All of the above? I guess we'll have to wait until E3 to know for sure.
But whatever it is, GSC Game World's CEO Sergiy Grygorovych is very pleased with the reaction S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has received so far: "We are very happy of the players' positive reaction to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. all over the world. This fills us with confidence the team is on the right track and adds us strength to go for next exciting accomplishments. It will be very soon that we present our new interesting ideas and solutions."
We'll have more on any future additions to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series in July.
