News: And it'll be out before the end of the year.

Eurogamer has confirmed with Starbreeze (developers of the upcoming The Darkness) that they plan to remake their massive hit The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay. The remade game will be known as The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and it will be available on the PS3 and Xbox 360. But the best part is that Starbreeze plans to release it before the end of year.

According to Eurogamer, Assault on Dark Athena will include "around 50 percent more single-player content" and an online multiplayer mode. A graphical update will also be included along with the developer's commentary mode that was in the PC version of Riddick.

We'll have more on the further adventures of Richard B. Riddick soon.
