News: All six Star Wars films Lego-ized in one game.
LucasArts and Travellers Tales have announced they are completely bringing Lego Star Wars into the next-generation with Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga for the Xbox 360, Wii and PS3. The game will combine Lego Star Wars and Lego Star Wars II while adding new features specially designed for each next-gen system.
Travellers Tales will also be creating a new version of The Complete Saga for the DS from the ground up. The original DS release of Lego Star Wars II was riddled with bugs and this is no doubt an "I'm sorry" from the developer.
More than a mere repackaging of the two earlier games, The Complete Saga will come complete with a bunch of enhancements. The game will include new playable characters (such as Watto, Zam Wessell, Boss Nass) and an upgraded Character Customizer to mix and match characters across the trilogies.
The levels from the original Lego Star Wars will also be retouched to match some of the gameplay enhancements found in The Original Trilogy. This includes the vehicle levels "Mos Espa Podrace" and "Gunship Cavalry." There will also be new missions including the high-speed pursuit with bounty hunter Zam Wessell.
The Complete Saga will also include new upgrades for each next-generation system:
The PS3 and Xbox 360 will have Online co-op and new high-resolution graphics.
The Wii will include motion-sensing control with the Wiimote.
And the DS version will include touchscreen controls.
All four versions of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga are scheduled to be released on November 6. We'll have more on this latest addition to the Star Wars series soon.
