News: EGM will reveal all on the next addition of Namco Bandai's fighter next month.

The "Next Issue" page of the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (number 217) has an interesting tidbit about their preview of the fourth entry of a certain fighting series:

If you're hankering for a virtual fistfight, top-quality options about -- the Virtua Fighter, Tekken, and Dead or Alive franchises all offer satisfying punch-up action. But if you're truly looking to give your opponent something to cry about, it's all about wielding sharpened steel, and nothing beats Namco Bandai's Soul Calibur series for weapon-based fighting thrills. In our world-exclusive preview, we'll reveal the future direction of this beloved series.

Yes, Soul Calibur IV is coming. We don't yet know which consoles it will appear on, but we do know we'll get the first news on the title July 3 in issue 218 of EGM. Coincidentally, this is right around the start of E3 2007.

We'll have more on Soul Calibur IV soon.
