News: It is 'the first dungeon-based game to realistically depict underground life.'
Stronghold: Legends developer Firefly Studios has announced they've teamed up with Gamecock to create "the first dungeon-based game to realistically depict underground life." The game is known as Dungeon Hero and it will be released for the PC and Xbox 360 in early 2009.
According to Gamecock, Dungeon Hero will provide "all the danger, intrigue and daily routine of an actual subterranean community." This will include such dungeon fixtures as "goblin cheese merchants, jailed troll miners and helpful imps just looking for peace."
УDungeon Hero sets itself apart from every dungeon game that has come before it,Ф said Rick Stults, Console Chief for Gamecock Media Group. УWe love the realism that the game portrays, the living breathing dungeon aspect is something unique that hasn't been done anywhere before and that's the key to the innovation we're looking to promote.Ф
Dungeon Hero appears to be a dungeon crawler that takes place entirely in the dungeon. All of the towns, shops and people are right there in the dungeon with you. The game will also include an "intense" battle system featuring close combat situations in the dark of the dungeon.
We'll have more on Dungeon Hero soon.
