Ubisoft has announced they have partnered with Red Storm Entertainment and the U.S. Army to deploy the America's Army series on the Xbox 360 this September.
America's Army: True Soldiers will be based on the engine from Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Warfighter 2 and will feature a huge multiplayer mode with clan support and eight maps. As with the PC versions, how players perform in the single-player portion of the game will affect their multiplayer character through attributes such as Valor, Marksmanship, Stealth and Conditioning. The career track gameplay of the single-player game also returns as players can enlist as a Rifleman, Grenadier, Automatic Rifleman or Sniper, among others.
"America's Army is a strong brand, and coupled with Red Storm Entertainment's next-gen expertise, Ubisoft and the Army are set to deliver a solid and authentic Army experience," said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. "Red Storm has done an unbelievable job over the years with military action titles and we're excited to have them work in partnership with the U.S. Army to develop America's Army: True Soldiers."
