News: In a choice between the Xbox 360 version and PS3 version of GTA4, take this into consideration.
Back when Grand Theft Auto IV was first announced, Microsoft's Peter Moore was very quick to point out that the 360 version would have "exclusive" downloadable content. PS3 fans howled and Rockstar was quick to point out that the PS3 version would be getting downloadable content as well.
Flash forward to a few days ago. Take Two's financial statement detailing future releases listed "Grand Theft Auto IV - Episodic Content" as a 2008 release only for the Xbox 360. So what happened to the PS3 content?
Business site GamesIndustry.biz contacted Take Two and the company confirmed that the downloadable content is only coming to the Xbox 360. A Take Two representative specifically said "The Grand Theft Auto IV episodic content is exclusive to Xbox 360."
While this is a blow to PS3 fans hoping to expand their GTA IV experience, the representative continued with some more bad news, "LA Noire is being developed for next-generation systems."
Yes, it appears Rockstar's 1940's-tinged hard-boiled detective story is no longer a PS3 exclusive.
We'll have more on Grand Theft Auto IV and L.A. Noire soon.
