News: And it comes in three cutely named colors.
Reports from the Sony Press Conference have revealed that a redesigned PSP (known as the PSP Slim) will be released this September.
The new PSP will initially be available in two colors, the standard black (AKA "Piano Black") and "Ice Silver." They will be sold in a $199.99 Entertainment Pack that comes with the game Daxter, a 1GB Memory Stick and the Family Guy Frickin' Sweet Collection on UMD. It will also be available in "White Ceramic" in October in a Star Wars-themed pack that includes the game Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron.
So what makes the PSP Slim different? Well, it is 33% lighter and 19% slimmer while still maintaining the same screen size as the original PSP. It also includes a video output button on the bottom that will output a video signal to a TV for movie watching, picture viewing and gaming on the big screen.
We'll have more on all things PSP-related soon.
