News: Portable RPG gaming from the master of Doom
Put down your cellphone and pick up your DSЧid software's innovative RPG Orcs and Elves is coming to the handheld market. It's a first-person RPG that puts the player in control of an elf named Elli charged with investigating a series of strange messages received from a dwarven kingdom. As it turns out, said kingdom has been overrun by orcs and other nasty beasts. It's up to Elli to fight the monsters and set the world right, all while accumulating wealth and building a character in true RPG fashion.
Orcs and Elves was originally designed for mobile phones and won several awards for its innovative gameplay. Carmack boasts that the DS version will include improved graphics and will push the DS's hardware to include 3D graphics. If the man who practically invented 3D gaming on the PC talks about graphics innovation, it's time to sit up and take notice. The DS version will also add more levels, more monsters, and more items to keep you entertained. It will be published for the DS by EA and developed by Fountainhead Entertainment.
