What is the Subspace Emissary?
According to Smash Bros. Dojo, it's the franchise's answer to a single-player experience. While the Super Smash Bros. games have always been known for brilliant multiplayer, they never managed to create a lasting single-player mode. More or less, it was always about unlocking new characters and then battling them out with a bunch of friends.
However, Subspace Emissary should turn the single-player afterthought into an all-out side-scrolling adventure game. It will combine quick action with character development, which is supposed to deliver a unique experience when the game launches on December 3.
