News: Beam me up this holiday season.
Bethesda Softworks has announced their next Star Trek will be available this holiday season. The game, Star Trek: Conquest, will be coming (with a budget price) to the Wii and the PS2 for $29.99 and $19.99, respectively.
The game, which is being built mainly for the Wii, is a strategy-action hybrid that combines building a fleet of ships with space-based ship battles.
Players will be able to take control of Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian, Dominion, and Breen ships as they attempt to "control the Galaxy, one planet at a time."
A turn-based strategy system will be used to position your ships while also "managing your fleets and admirals, building support structures, researching technology, and engaging your enemies in combat."
But after these battles begin is when the real fun begins: "Conquest switches to a ship level tactical view allowing direct command of your ships as you engage in real-time combat. While maneuvering your starship with the Nunchuk, take direct aim and fire away with the Wii Remote."
We'll have more on Star Trek: Conquest soon.
