A free "Metroid Channel" was added to the Wii's WiiWare section this morning and it shows that Nintendo is not totally ignoring this downloadable content thing.
Once downloaded, the channel includes trailers and gameplay videos for the upcoming Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It also includes the good news that Metroid will be added to the Virtual Console on August 13, while Super Metroid will be added to the service on August 20. Metroid Prime 3: Corruptionis scheduled for an August 27 release. Hooray for corporate synergy!
The channel takes up about 70 blocks, so if you have any interest in Metroid Prime 3, I do suggest checking it out.
